Comprehensive programs designed to empower Haitian adults and families through education, career training, food assistance, and compassionate support.
Program 01
Adult Education
Our adult education program offers welcoming, culturally grounded classrooms designed for Haitian adults building new lives in Springfield. Classes focus on literacy, English language acquisition, and practical life skills — from navigating everyday paperwork to workplace communication. Instruction is offered with cultural and linguistic sensitivity, recognizing that language should never be a barrier to opportunity. Participants leave with stronger foundations for further education, employment, and community engagement.
Program 02
CNA & Career Training
We provide Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and broader career-readiness pathways that prepare adults for stable, dignified employment in healthcare — one of the region’s most in-demand fields. This includes English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to prepare students for the language demands of the CNA program, ensuring participants are fully equipped to succeed in coursework and clinical settings. Training combines classroom instruction with hands-on clinical preparation, along with support around certification requirements, resume building, and job placement guidance. This program is designed to move participants from training directly into meaningful, well-paid careers.
Program 03
Food Assistance
Recognizing that food security is foundational to stability, we offer direct food support to families facing hardship in our community. Assistance is distributed with dignity and without judgment, ensuring that families accessing this service are met with respect rather than stigma. This support helps bridge gaps for families balancing tight budgets, unexpected expenses, or transitional circumstances.
Program 04
Safe Shelter
Our Safe Shelter program provides trauma-informed housing and support for women and families overcoming domestic violence. Care is culturally responsive, recognizing the unique needs of Haitian survivors, including language access and cultural understanding. Beyond physical shelter, the program is built around holistic healing — helping families stabilize, recover, and rebuild toward long-term independence and safety.
